Marané Swimwear’s Horizon Collection Can Now Be Found In The Faena Hotel Miami Beach

Luxury men’s swimwear label Marané has just announced that its Manantiales swimshorts will be available at the newly opened Faena Hotel Miami Beach.

The luxury 169 room hotel is one element of an incredible arts and culture quarter developed by industrialist Len Blavatnik and real estate tycoon Alan Faena, who is known for his buzzy, Philippe Starck designed boutique hotel in Buenos Aires.

Art, collaboration and a visual aesthetic that ties into its surroundings are obvious in every aspect of the Faena Hotel and its design; from the interiors that feature the signature Faena red and a teal blue that perfectly matches the Atlantic outside, to the Damien Hirst mammoth sculpture, the dining tables from a Frank Pollaro furniture collection created with actor Brad Pitt and the glorious entrance “Cathedral” lined with gold-leafed columns and adorned with vivid floor-to-ceiling murals enhanced with gold leaf from Argentinian painter, Juan Gatti.

This spirit of collaboration and creation fits perfectly with Marané and its ethos of connecting its wearer with water and the surrounding natural world, through painstaking attention to detail, high quality construction and an incomparable cut.

The story of Marané and its elegant and classic Manantiales swim short is rooted in Punta del Este, Uruguay. The Atlantic Ocean, wild uncluttered beaches and a thriving artistic community inspired lifelong family friends Christine Serhal and Alessandro Aquilina to create the perfect swim short.

They took two years to develop the Manantiales, carefully searching out the best fabrics, finishes and techniques and then naming the end result after their home town. Their innovative threadless bonded seam technology is a world first in luxury men’s swimwear, it allows the short to sit flat thus creating a clean and elegant outline.

“We don’t believe in fast fashion,” said Christine “we are committed to quality and craftsmanship and everything we do is to the highest standard.”

This uncompromising attitude has led them to create the gorgeous Manantiales; a swim short that is comfortable and has an easy, understated tailored elegance. A swim short elegant enough to take you anywhere, from swimming, horse-riding or hiking to an asado (barbeque), party, lunch or cocktails.

The Horizon Collection from Marané will be available from the Faena Hotel Miami Beach.  This beautiful collection is the result of a collaboration with local Punta del Este artist, Claudio Pincas who created three stunning watercolours, Atlantic Sky, Sunset and After the Storm, to capture and reflect the spirit of Punta’s skyline. These paintings were then sublimated directly onto the fabric without photoshop or editing in order to retain every brushstroke and detail.

Marané evolved from the lifelong friendship of Christine Serhal and Alessandro Aquilina. They created the elegant and timeless Manantiales swim short to reflect their love for Punta del Este and the ocean. The tailored looking Manantiales comes in 6 solid colours and 3 prints (the Horizon Collection) and are designed in Uruguay and manufactured in Portugal.  The classic swim short is available from their store in Manantiales or through their website and retails at £130 and £155 for the Horizon Collection.
